Students should think about what the story means, how it is connected from start to finish, and how it connects to the audience. What tools does the writer (s) or creator (s) use to keep their audiences involved in the story? Students will want to describe the story, but not summarize it. They should look at the little details that move along or explain the story, as well as looking at the bigger picture the author is trying to tell the audience.
