1. Answer this question -> As the foreign Muslim population has been steadily on the increase in Korea, Koreans have been exposed, more than ever, to Muslim cultures and forming their own ideas about and attitudes toward them. In due course, mass media coverage of political, social, and cultural affairs in the Middle East also wield enormous influence on individuals’ opinions. Terror attacks Muslim extremists committed in the name of Islam in non-Muslim countries have certainly caused a great concern among Koreans. Last year two Muslim workers were arrested for having posted threatening messages on the walls of the French embassy in Korea. What kind of (positive and negative) attitudes to Muslims and the Middle East (by extension Islam) can you discern from the Korean general public, and what is / are the reason(s) for the negative attitudes?
